Twenty Chapters - by Weasleyfanforever On Oct 06, 2004 - 7:40 PM This was posted on JKR's sit e after people pointed out mistakes to her with the questions involving Colin Creevey and his camera, and the Letters to Petunia.: "I have learned something from this experience, which is that when you read through twenty chapters at a sitting, then decide to do some FAQs for the website in the early hours of the morning, you mess up." So are we to assume that she is done with at least twenty chapters of HBP? Also here is what was said about the supposed "mistakes" in the F.A.Q: Remember My Last Question: It has been suggested that I am wrong in saying that Dumbledore's last letter was the one he left on the doorstep with baby Harry, and that he has sent a letter since then concerning Harry's illegal flight to school. However, both Dumbledore and I differentiate between letters sent to the Dursleys as a couple, and messages directed to Petunia ALONE. And that's my... The "What did Dumbledore's Howler to Petunia mean?" question won with 60% of the vote. Here is the answer: "Well, wha a relief it is to move on after the Mark Evans fiasco. This time, two out of the three questions had interesting answers, (or at least I think so) and thank goodness you chose one of them. So: Dumbledore is of course reffering to his last lettter, which means, of course the letter he left upon the Dursley's doorstep when Harry was one year old. Why then (you may well ask) did he not just say "Remember my letter? Why, obviously, because there were letters before that... Now, let the speculation begin, and mind that you type clearly, I'll be watching... Daniel accepted the Best Junior Achiever award in a taped message from the set of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. This is what Daniel had to say about winning the award: "What can I say. Thank you very, very much indeed. It's an honor to have won a golden stool for the second year running. I'm very sorry that I can't actually be with you guys at the moment, but I'm actually about to fight a dragon, as of course, we are filming The Goblet of Fire. So, yes, fantastic and I can't wait to see you again next year!." 4 Replies | 23 Views Harry Potter mention in Stephen King's Dark Tower Book #7 - by Weasleyfanforever On Sep 25, 2004 - 3:22 PM I thought this was interesting as I have read a few reviews that Stephen King has done of the Harry Potter books, and he loves them! Apparently, he likes them enough to mention them in his own books! Here is an excerpt from Stephen King's latest Dark Tower book: "Check out the crate-lid," Jake said when they joined her. Susannah had set it aside; Jake picked it up and was studying it with admiration. It showed the face of a smiling boy with a lightning-bolt scar on his forehead. He was wearing round glasses and brandishing what appeared to be a magician's wand at a floating sneetch. The words stenciled beneath the drawing read: PROPERTY 449TH SQUADRON 24 "SNEETCHES" HARRY POTTER MODEL SERIAL #465-17-CC NDJKR [Read More] 6 Replies | 54 Views Rumors and Theories Discredited - by Weasleyfanforever On Sep 23, 2004 - 7:17 PM JKR has descredited some of the rumors and theories floating around the web. Items of note included: She is halfway through writing "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" Right now, HBP is her favorite book There were two key questions about the whole plot that she had never been asked: "Why didn't Voldemort die when he tried to kill Harry?" and "Why didn't Dumbledore try to kill Voldemort in that scene at the end of book five?" JK said if we are wondering about the overall plot, we should be concentrating on those two questions. The entire article can be found here. 5 Replies | 34 Views No Percy in Goblet Of Fire! - by Weasleyfanforever On Sep 22, 2004 - 9:24 PM I was reading Chris Rankins weblog on his official site, and was shocked to read tis part: Chris Rankin Having been speaking to my agent about why I've not heard anything from Warner Brothers re Goblet of Fire, they've been making some enquiries into the legal side of not being used on the film, when I've been contracted to it... Turns out that my contract states that I was contracted to appear in Prisoner of Azkaban +1 more HP film - it doesn't have to be the next in the series (as we'd all presumed) - what this basically means is that we're unlikely to be seeing Percy in Goblet of Fire, but that doesn't mean that he won't be in another film along the lines of the series... but we might not! So does this mean that Chris will not be Percy, in one of the next films? And why is Percy only contracted for four films, one of them not being GoF? Could this be a hint about Percy's longevity? Because if Chris is contracted to play Percy in another...
