COLTPOWER QUICK HITS Colts 24, Jaguars 17 The Jaguars couldn't find a way to eek out a victory as they had done for the past few weeks as the Colts defense stopped Jacksonville on a 4th-and-1 play late in the fourth quarter. After watching the Jaguars tie the game at 17, Peyton Manning led the Colts on a drive that resulted in an Edgerrin James TD run to put the Colts up for good. For a full game recap, check out this story from NFL.com. The game catapults the Colts to first place in the AFC South with a 3-1 record and a 2-0 record against AFC South opponents. Game Notes Rob Morris was credited with the tackle that ended the Jaguars' hopes of a comeback on 4th-and-one in the fourth quarter. He was also credited -- along with Raheem Brock -- for making a fourth-down stop in the first half that forced the Jags to turn the ball over to the Colts. The Jaguars punted just once the entire game. Jacksonville held a 36 to 24 minute time of possession advantage, and a 408 to 337 net yards advantage, but managed just 17 points. The Colts held the Jaguars to 97 yards rushing -- including just 68 to Fred Taylor -- yielding 3.1 yards per rush. The Colts were 3-3 in the red zone. Peyton Manning had one pass intercepted on a tipped pass, but tossed two TD passes. Brandon Stokely was the leading receiver with 8 catches for 97 yards. David Thornton and Robert Mathis forced fumbles, one of which was recovered by the Colts (Cato June).
