vBulletin Message Announcement - Inkspiration Closure As many of you will know, the site has been extremely quiet over the last month or so. Despite the efforts of various people to spruce things up a little, activity and general enthusiasm remains at an all time low. I personally have also undergone some drastic changes in my personal life which has led to a severe lack of time to devote to the running of the site. In all honesty, although things seemed to go well for quite some time, it appears that the site is right back where we started with regard to activity. When the site launched, all of the staff members put an amazing amount of energy into getting things up and running. We had expected that by now (and with 200 members), that activity levels would have stabilised and staff would have been able to relax a little. However this has not been the case, and none of us are realistically able to devote the time and energy we did at the beginning over such a prolonged period. Therefore I've taken the very hard decision to shut down the site permanently. It's certainly not a decision taken lightly, but there's not much point in fighting a losing battle, right? I do know that many people sign up to the site with the expectation that activity will be buzzing, feedback will be available immediately, and various other things. In a site as young as ours this is wholly unrealistic. True, there are many sites out there that manage this level of activity. However, those sites have members in the thousands rather than the hundreds, many charge for their services or plaster the site in highly annoying advertising, and have been established for 1 year plus. I had hoped that members would be willing to make some effort to build our community, sadly the vast majority were obviously not willing to do so. I would like to wish you all the very best of luck for the future. I would particularly like to thank the staff members, without whom we wouldn't have been running for as long as we have. Thank you also to those of you who were active. Some of you (and I must make special mention to suneagle here) made a tremendous effort to keep the community spirit going. If anybody would like to contact me you can email contact(at)inkspiration.net (replace (at) with @ obviously, just avoiding the spam spiders). It's been a great adventure, thank you all.
